- 0:00 So I was just about to get started on my work for the day and I grabbed a Red Bull and I was thinking about the food dyes that we all have in our food here in America.
- 0:10 I know it's like kind of a big topic.
- 0:12 I know some of our political leaders were talking about it recently.
- 0:15 And so like I know here in the US, like Red 40, um, like Blue Twelve and all these other food dyes are in our foods, but in Europe they're all banned.
- 0:24 And so it kind of got me thinking, like, what are we actually putting in our bodies and how's it affecting us?
- 0:30 Um you can see on the Red Bull it has Red 40 in it.
- 0:33 And, you know, so I I just started looking it up and I'm like, this is really interesting.
- 0:37 I think it causes my my brother has ADHD.
- 0:40 Um and so, you know, the the the research says that it causes hyperactivity and um some neuroissues in children and there's even some some speculation that it might cause cancer.
- 0:51 So I think it's really interesting that, you know, these organizations like the FDA, they're supposed to support us citizens and you know, protect us from these things, yet it seems like they're maybe putting profits over our health.
- 1:03 Um I think this is an important topic that we should all, you know, discuss and think about because if our organizations aren't to be trusted, then like what's going on?
- 1:12 We need to actually make some forward movement on this and decide whether or not these should be in our foods and if we should be putting them in our body.
