- 0:00 Again, um I think this is a really interesting topic, and you know it's a very complex issue.
- 0:07 I think it it's kind of a byproduct of capitalism, and it's not necessarily an issue we can really control as long as we're in a capitalistic society.
- 0:16 Um excessive waste is definitely an issue, and I mean the wealthy do tend to participate in excessive waste, like you said, Taylor Swift with her jets, or people buying things they don't need.
- 0:28 But I think that's what makes this country so special that you have the freedom to do whatever you want.
- 0:36 Um yes, some of it may be harmful, but there's no government limiting what you can do or what you can buy with your money.
- 0:43 And essentially, for as long as the US will be a capitalist country, that will stay true.
- 0:48 And um, yeah, I mean there should be some some consciousness to what you're spending, but at the end of the day it's their money and we can't really tell them what to do.
- 0:56 So it's an issue that will will keep happening, but um as for the ethics of it, it may be wrong, but it is their money.
- 1:08 So that's that those are my opinions on the topic.
- 1:10 It is very interesting, and and I think we should um continue discussing the uh consequences of overspending or wasteful spending habits.
