- 0:00 What's up everyone?
- 0:01 I was just sitting here watching a show and an advertisement came on.
- 0:07 It was actually a really interesting advertisement because you know, with kind of the political state stance of the nation, um, you know, there's been a really big push towards deporting people who came here illegally.
- 0:20 Um, and this ad basically said in Spanish first and then in English to uh get on a or basically to report yourself and to get on a plane and to leave the country, and that the that the US would pay you and return you with a flight and um not charge you criminally.
- 0:38 And I think this is a really interesting um you know campaign because it's it's for me it makes me think, you know, the whole push for deportation is um you know to save the American taxpayers' money, and if we're gonna pay these immigrants to leave, and we're also gonna provide flights, that is spending American taxpayer money.
- 1:00 Um, you know, for me I've always been very pro legal immigration.
- 1:05 I have a little brother who we adopted and legally immigrated into the United States, and so for me, I just I don't think it's right for people to skip the line.
- 1:15 Um, but I do think that this is a very interesting approach by um the government, you know, and so I I looked it up and apparently there's two ads.
- 1:24 There's one for domestic and there's one for international, which I think that's interesting too.
- 1:29 Like, why do we need to show this advertisement um internationally?
- 1:34 Um but yeah, I I think it's a interesting advertisement.
- 1:39 I think for me.
- 1:40 I think there that it's a that at the end of the day, I think it's a good advertisement, and I think it's a good thing to push for because I think people should choose to go back.
- 1:51 Um, and if they don't, then maybe it should be more of a forceful return.
