- 0:00 Davidson, I think you brought up a very prevalent issue right now and an issue that's slowly becoming a global epidemic and especially to our country.
- 0:09 I mean, as you mentioned, it is a threat to national security, but also it is becoming a threat to our democracy as well.
- 0:20 And to explain that, I know in the past election there are some AI companies that are able to produce images, quotes, uh videos that look almost realistic, and a lot of the older generation isn't able to tell it apart.
- 0:38 So uh the rise of social media and the incorporation of AI is causing a threat to our democracy in the sense that it's it has the potential to sway elections.
- 0:52 I mean I know one of the newest apps that had just came out called Sora AI is able to make videos using uh AI prompts that I can't even tell apart as a 19-year-old at Georgia Tech.
- 1:10 I mean some of these videos are getting almost too realistic and I think one I think one thing I would put in place to kind of correct this is I would make uh transparency and disclosures mandatory with all AI, whether it be a customer service form or a generated image or video.
- 1:37 I think transparency should be mandated.
- 1:41 That's something that could really help uh us decipher what's real and what's fake out there nowadays.
- 1:47 So yeah, excellent point.
- 1:50 And I think that would be my first step uh to prevent a global epidemic of AI.
