- 0:00 Heinz, you uh I didn't honestly know the extent um to which Europe was censoring some of their people, but something that's made me think of um that I wanted to mention is this kinda reminds me of the global shift to WhatsApp.
- 0:13 I know it's a lot more common in popular cultures.
- 0:16 Um I know a lot of Spanish uh speaking students and you know people from Latin America and Spain, they all use WhatsApp to communicate with their people and it's to avoid all the data rates and the encryption that WhatsApp gives you and to bypass you know all the regulations.
- 0:33 And it really is an interesting gray area because um America's having a weird time with censorship too, and um our algorithms are so politically charged and aggravated.
- 0:45 Um it's it's kind of understandable why they want to keep checks on it, but it's also frustrating.
- 0:51 I completely disagree with it.
- 0:52 But there's some horrible stuff on the internet.
- 0:55 Um but I do think the same way um finance is lean moving towards crypto.
- 1:00 It's not, you know, all going there, but a lot of people um trust in it and trust the the freedom of it.
- 1:06 And I think we'll only s continue to see more apps like WhatsApp and um social media maybe move to some of these encrypted um free free to use services and also I think it's interesting, I forget what the circumstances of the WhatsApp founders' arrests were in Paris, but I know he was arrested there and you know I've got to assume it's in line with um the same reason that they're censoring their people, it's the same reason they'd arrested him in Paris.
- 1:34 But definitely very interesting times across the global media landscape now.
