  1. 0:00 I think it's really interesting to break down the electronic vehicles market right now because we're at a pretty interesting crossroad.
  2. 0:07 Um so obviously with the $7,500 EV tax credit going away September 30th.
  3. 0:14 Um lots of people purchased EVs in the month of September, August, July, the months leading up to the tax credit um being abolished.
  4. 0:23 So uh obviously sales for EVs spiked uh amongst the big uh EV producers um in order to be able to qualify for this tax credit.
  5. 0:34 Uh but now obviously no one is buying any EVs anymore because they're there's no longer an incentive to other than the fact that one would say that they're uh more environmentally uh sustainable than someone else.
  6. 0:47 And honestly, my opinion on that is EVs in the grand scheme of thing, in my opinion, are less environmentally stable than a normal uh internal combustion engine vehicle, and that's because the amount of pollution that is made in the mining process for this lithium and for all the components that make the battery for these electronic vehicles are just as probably worse than mining for liquefied natural gas.
  7. 1:19 So that's my take on EVs, and I personally don't think that electronic vehicles are going to be making a comeback anytime soon because I think it's just more reliable, more financially stable, and just adapts to the cultural norm to have an internal combustion engine uh as well as convenience.
  8. 1:39 The charging infrastructure is still not nearly built out as the gas station network that we have in the United States.
