- 0:00 I think the electric vehicle market's something that I'm very passionate to talk about because I do have a strong input on it.
- 0:07 Uh I'm currently a fan of fossil fuels.
- 0:10 I'm currently a fan of oil.
- 0:12 Uh I'm a huge car guy.
- 0:14 I uh I think electric cars right now are infrastructure is just not developed for 'em, and I don't see that they're a viable option to uh green energy.
- 0:23 They're not green energy, they're alternative energy.
- 0:26 Uh I made a point earlier in my discussion that uh the lithium mining, the extraction is so detrimental to our environment, not even just uh ecologically, but socially as well.
- 0:40 They're taking tribes, uh indigenous tribes of Chile, uh which one is one of the largest uh lithium extraction sites in the world.
- 0:50 Um they're displacing communities, they're affecting their water sources, uh they're harming just ecosystems.
- 0:59 I mean the lithium extraction is so uh disruptive to our environment that it's just not worth it.
- 1:06 They don't outweigh the environmental impacts they have.
- 1:10 They don't possess the energy savings that make them viable options.
- 1:14 So I think they were a great idea.
- 1:16 I think research is uh an experiment.
- 1:20 I think we should experiment with different options.
- 1:23 I think every time we find a new option that's beneficial to our population because at the rate we are going, yeah, fossil fuels may not last as long as we need them to.
- 1:34 So I think uh electric cars just may not be the option right now.
