- 0:00 So, is capitalism good for society?
- 0:04 I was thinking about this earlier, and I kind of wanna just say some things.
- 0:08 And I want to start off by saying that people love to criticize capitalism, but it's also the system that pushed a lot of human progress.
- 0:14 When businesses compete, they're forced to innovate.
- 0:17 They make better products, faster service, and lower prices for everyone.
- 0:21 It's it's how we got the things we have, like smartphones, streaming, along with electric cars.
- 0:27 Um, you know, of course, everything has its flaws.
- 0:31 Capitalism isn't a stranger to that.
- 0:33 It's not perfect.
- 0:34 It can create, you know, pretty big gaps between the rich and the poor.
- 0:38 Um, and a lot of companies only care about the profit.
- 0:40 But I don't think the answer is just to get rid of capitalism.
- 0:44 It's to make it a little bit more fair if it needs to be changed.
- 0:47 If people are saying that capitalism needs to be changed, then if rules are in place to protect workers and the planet, capitalism can be a system that rewards hard work and also drives society forward instead of just only being money hungry and chasing one thing and that's just profit.
