- 0:02 And I've actually experienced this firsthand.
- 0:04 One of my friends got into sports betting um recently, and what happened was he thought that he could just stop responding to the bookie, which is the person that puts in the bets for you.
- 0:15 Um and so basically he went down, I think it was sixty, five hundred dollars, and he was like, I'm just gonna stop responding to this guy and block him, and because he just expected like it would just go away.
- 0:26 He didn't understand that he was betting real money.
- 0:29 And so basically what happened was the bookie contacted his parents, showed up at his house, and basically demanded the money.
- 0:35 And so, I mean it it caused whole family matters, and I mean it was just a horrible situation.
- 0:40 So I agree, like it's I think college or sports betting for young people, um, for un underdeveloped people, were the college kids aren't necessarily full adults, and so I I think it's a dangerous thing, and I think a lot of kids can go down the wrong path in that sense.
