- 0:00 Gains.
- 0:00 You brought up a dilemma that I've been thinking about for years.
- 0:04 And when it comes down to it, I think there's two sides that we have to think about and acknowledge.
- 0:11 I think on one hand, we live in a capitalistic society.
- 0:15 Um that's just some of the benefits of living in the States.
- 0:20 I think if you have a business and people are willing to buy or your product, you have the right to reap your reward of the profit.
- 0:30 I mean, that was the point of establishing this nation was to the opportunity to grow.
- 0:38 I mean, if you have an idea and you can make it happen, then you are allowed to reap the benefits that that idea brings you along.
- 0:46 So I think on one hand they they have the right to spend their money and do what they want with it.
- 0:55 But on the other hand, is the moral obligation aspect.
- 0:59 I think regardless of your financial wealth, I think personally everybody should have the moral obligation to give back in a sense.
- 1:09 I don't think they're required to do so, but I think morally they should consider at every decision they make if what they're doing is ethical.
- 1:22 Because a lot of these people, when you look at some of their stories, the most the wealthiest people came from nothing.
- 1:29 And I think it's because they had the most desire and the most hunger as as kids and growing up.
- 1:36 And I think having gone through some of those situations that they have, I think for you to not give back is extremely unethical.
- 1:47 And I think it's just distasteful.
- 1:51 So I mean, I think on one hand, you have the right to reap the reward, but I think the wealthy should be morally obligated to give back in a in any way they can.
