- 0:00 Carl, I really like how you take kind of a simple topic like the weather and turn it into something bigger with more implications.

- 0:10 This is the the sun actually played a role in where I chose to go to school.
- 0:15 So when I was applying to colleges, I was applying all over the country.
- 0:18 I applied to 11 schools.
- 0:20 But a school that actually I was really interested in was Michigan.
- 0:23 And I just realized literally I just realized now that I'm wearing the sweatshirt from Michigan.
- 0:30 So it's actually kind of funny and ironic.
- 0:33 But yeah, so I was deciding if I even wanted to apply to Michigan, what would happen if I got in, because it's a pretty it's a prestigious school.
- 0:42 Um it it would have been a good experience.
- 0:45 But you know, during my application, I went and met with my advisor at school, and she said that her daughter went there, and she was like, it is so during the winter it is so cloudy and so like there's so little sun that they actually put red lights in your dorm that like release the same like rays as a sun because you never see the sun from like I don't know what she said, it was like November to May.
- 1:13 No, even later, like June.
- 1:15 November to June, seven months out of the year, you don't see the sun.
- 1:19 And I think that plays a huge role on productivity, like you were saying, because I know for myself, if I don't go out into the sun and soak up some vitamin D and you know, get out of my room and get out of the classroom, I am so much less productive, and I feel so much just grosser.
- 1:39 Like I all I want to do is sit around.
- 1:41 And so I think this is such a great topic.
- 1:43 I I I applaud you for taking something like the sun and sparking a conversation like this.
- 1:49 Um yeah, like I I think that we should all agree or all enjoy, I mean, our sunny days a lot more.
- 1:57 Um I actually recently, now that's getting a little colder, I enjoy these sunny days even more.
