Vansh Patel0:00 Being generally handy and being a car guy, I normally keep an array of tools at my house.0:08 And I've always had American-made products such as DeWalt, Snap-on, Makita, brands such as those.0:16 But ever since Harbor Freight really became popular, I've really transitioned to my entire toolbox uh into Harbor Freight tools.0:27 And I'll list a couple of reasons.0:28 First off, their biggest difference is they're far cheaper.0:33 Harbor Freight tools can often be around a fifth of the price of any other brand you see at Home Depot or Lowe's.0:40 And another thing is they always offer lifetime warranties.0:44 And I know this is thing Snap On does as well, but I think the ease of replacing your items at Harbor Freight is unmatched to any other tool company.0:54 So I think that really drives them ahead.0:57 And lastly, is quality of products.1:01 A lot of people doubt Harbor Freight tools because of how cheap they are, but they've actually been in several lawsuits themselves over how similar their products are to other companies.1:14 I know a lot of their products, such as the icon line, very closely resemble Snap-on's tools because they are direct copies of their tools, actually.1:37 And for that reason, I don't see why most people don't transition their tools to Harbor Freight.1:45 They have the cheapest prices and quality that's on par with some of these larger brands.1:58 I mean, I really just like to see a perspective on why you wouldn't choose Harbor Freight tools.
Wesley Joyce0:00 Blanch, you bring up a great point here, and it's honestly something I haven't thought too much about.0:04 But I being from States River, Georgia, um, we had a Harbor Freight open up three years ago, and I went to a football game back home, and there wasn't a single dad that I talked to who wasn't ecstatic about Harbor Freight opening up in town because of the services they offer at the prices they do and the quality of their tools.0:23 And I never really heard about it.0:25 And then, you know, after having worked on a couple like hundred million plus dollar job sites up in Atlanta, nobody has ever once told me to go to Harbor Freight.0:34 You know, I was the intern.0:35 I was the guy that went and bought the tools.0:38 And with both general contractors and from all the subcontractors I've worked with, um, they all just have Home Depot um like co like work cards.0:52 There's um they become pro members and they get the pro numbers, and you just charge it to the job site, and it's very easy.0:59 And I wonder if maybe since Home Depot is an Atlanta company that they make sure that they have these general contractors on board.1:06 And I also think maybe Home Depot can you know, Harbor Freights typically their locations are a little bit smaller than some of these bigger ones.1:14 So I think for these smaller residential projects and just you know, do at home work, like DIY stuff.1:20 Um, obviously I'd be surprised it'd be a bad decision to not be buying Harbor Freight tools.1:26 But I'm thinking maybe the size and the efficiency that Home Depot allows.1:34 Um, because they I mean they seriously have everything and they have any amount of it that you need.1:39 Um, you know, I think it'd be hard for some of these larger general contractors who need that much material to be able to source from kind of a mom and pop style store.1:51 And maybe they are bigger Harbor Freight locations, but the ones I've seen have all been pretty reasonably sized, kind of the size of an advanced auto parts or something like that.2:00 Whereas these Home Depots that are so established that have you know had had pro numbers with all these different superintendents for multiple years.2:10 Um and I don't know what the benefits of those pro numbers are necessarily.2:14 I mean, they have to be good because everybody's using them.2:16 So I think it might be a little bit of a size thing.2:21 Um, and also, you know, Harbor Freight makes good tools, but when you're when you're building a hospital, you use the best tools.2:28 I I learned that lesson the hard way when I bought um tried to save some money on my first Home Depot run and bought some lesser quality materials and um it was very quickly explained to me that you're buying these for construction professionals.2:43 You know, these this guy may be a carpenter, but he's been doing it for 30 years and he needs the the best to deliver on what we promised.2:49 So um, yeah, I don't know, interesting.
