  1. 0:00 Yeah, Wesley, that's uh that's a very good point you made.
  2. 0:03 Um and I do think if you know the phones and technology was what it was today, even 15 years ago we would be thinking the same thing.
  3. 0:13 Um and think that you know those those wars were, you know, they're the horrors that came out of those wars were just as equal or just as bad as today.
  4. 0:21 But it's different horrors.
  5. 0:22 Obviously, like you see that the warfare is changing.
  6. 0:24 I mean, I think if you put if you had the technology today that you had back in like the first and second world war, we would still be saying that the horrors are are you know probably just as bad because you see what those soldiers were going through living in the trenches, dealing with disease.
  7. 0:37 Um and a lot of that is is still there, but a lot of it is different than what it is today, which with a more technology-based wars and and and you know, obviously the threat of nuclear weapons and stuff like that.
  8. 0:48 But I think I mean war has always just been full of horrors.
  9. 0:51 I mean, it just depends what kind of horrors we're talking about.
  10. 0:54 Um and I don't think we would have we would think any less of World War II if we had those videos.
  11. 1:00 I think we would think World War II is more was worse than we even have from the accounts of you know textbooks and stuff.
  12. 1:07 Whereas we do see some of those videos coming out of Gaza or you know, Russia and Ukraine, and we think, you know, we see we can actually see what is happening, and sometimes as Americans, we don't see what you know is always going on in those wars.
  13. 1:19 Um and obviously we think, wow, that's so bad.
  14. 1:22 But if we had seen those same videos in high definition from World War II, um obviously completely different.
  15. 1:28 You're not seeing stuff necessarily getting blown up with nukes or or stuff like that, but um, I think you just see what those soldiers and what those countries are were going through.
  16. 1:36 Um same with Vietnam, like you brought up.
  17. 1:38 Um, you know, I think war has always just been you know, treacherous and tough for you know everyone involved.
  18. 1:47 Um I don't know if you could say war is sped up per se, but I think it's just evolved into a different kind of war.
