- 0:00 How's it going, everyone?
- 0:01 Um today I wanted to talk about ICE.
- 0:04 Um I know this is kind of a sensitive sensitive topic to a lot of people.
- 0:09 Um but uh I I did want to get on here because I was watching a news report recently and I saw a kind of very interesting video about how ICE was um in Chicago removing um illegal immigrants from Chicago and they got surrounded by Antifa protesters um who were not necessarily being completely nonviolent.
- 0:32 And so the ICE agents were completely overrun by all these people um you know protesting and getting in their faces and getting in the way of them performing their job.
- 0:41 And so they called on um the police officers in Chicago to um come and help them with crowd control and to continue to do their duty like they were set out to do.
- 0:56 And basically, in the police reports, you can see that the police officers from Chicago were told by a superior to avoid that area and basically not help the ICE agents.
- 1:07 And then in a press report, the chief of police claims that he never made that order and that he never um told his agents to not go help the ICE agents.
- 1:17 And so I think this is kind of a really big story because federal agents and state agents are supposed to interact and work together, and it's tough when political um politics basically get in the way of performing people's jobs.
- 1:34 Um I do think immigration is an issue in this country.
- 1:38 Um I I I'm not gonna go as far to say how big of an issue I think it is, but I do think there needs to be more regulation.
- 1:45 I have a little brother who uh immigrated into the United States legally, and so I think it that legal immigration is the right thing, but that's beyond the point.
- 1:56 I think that federal agents need to be supported by state agents, they also need to be supported by local agents, and I think it just really shows the the break in our country where these agents are trying to perform their job, and it and it feels like we're being lied to by people that we put in power.
- 2:15 We elect these officials to be in power to make the right decisions, and you can see clearly in the police reports that they were told not to go help these ICE agents, yet in the media were shown that the police director is saying, Oh no, I never made that claim or that that order.
- 2:31 So I think this is an important topic.
- 2:33 I think it's interest it it.
- 2:36 I would love to hear other people's in um points of view on this.
- 2:40 Um and so yeah.
