- 0:00 Hey, what's up, y'all?
- 0:01 I just want to talk about Atlanta's sneaky new way of updating its transit system.
- 0:06 Uh Atlanta, throughout the years, hasn't had the best transit, but right now they're developing the belt line with some parts already developed.
- 0:13 But the goal is to make it 22 miles round long and for it to run through Atlanta, and it's gonna connect 45 neighborhoods.
- 0:20 Right now it's not as long, but it has a lot of apartments by it, uh a lot of bars and restaurants, and it's great for the community.
- 0:27 Uh and it's you know a great time.
- 0:29 But what they're doing right now is they're trying to work on adding light transit as well.
- 0:33 So not only will it be a big walking trail and bike trail that connect Atlanta, but also start adding more light transit, which we know Atlanta needs, as Marta is not very efficient at covering Atlanta at all.
- 0:45 I do want to talk about we also need to update Marta.
- 0:48 Uh you can really only get to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium with Marta and Midtown, and besides that, it's not very useful.
- 0:56 I rarely use Marta, and I live very close to a station, and the buses aren't great either.
- 1:02 There's a lot of traffic, and we need to fix it.
- 1:04 So yeah.
