- 0:00 Alright, guys, I have another topic that I've been thinking about recently.
- 0:03 Um, and this is about you know presidency and switching from one leader to the next, and so kind of the main driving point for me is um the main question that I'm posing is whether or not um people who are leaving office or leaving a position have the right and should um basically sabotage the upcoming person regardless of if they are allies or not.
- 0:28 And so kind of the example that I have is when the Biden administ administration was leaving office, they know that Donald Trump's main push is going to be immigration and the southern border and building a wall.
- 0:38 You know, there was that whole um debate and push for a wall at the southern border.
- 0:43 And so there were a lot of materials for this wall stockpiled um in Texas.
- 0:48 And so basically what the Biden administration decided to do is they were going to sell off these materials within their last few months in office for pennies on the dollar.
- 0:58 So let's say a beam cost a hundred dollars, they were selling that beam for like three dollars to you know, whoever.
- 1:05 And I just think like this situation I am sure has happened throughout history with all politicians on both sides of our political um agenda, you know, both right and left winged, and you know, people in the middle as well.
- 1:20 And I just think it's really interesting.
- 1:22 Um that the government is just going to buy these beams again, and you're simply just stabbing your own country in the foot, in a sense, is if Donald Trump is truly that motivated to build his wall, he's going to go and buy those materials and make it happen.
- 1:39 And it's simply just wasteful the fact that he now has to go rebuy those beams that were already bought and purchased by the United States.
- 1:46 So I just think it's really interesting, and I am sure there are gonna be things that Donald Trump does before he leaves office that is gonna harm the next um president.
- 1:55 And it's I think it's just really as as a normal citizen who's paying taxes and seeing where our money is going, and just knowing that there's things like this happening in our politics, it just makes me really upset almost.
- 2:09 Not upset, but it's just like like it just it's just like why like why why would you do this?
- 2:15 Why would you sell these beams?
- 2:17 Why would you kind of shoot the next president in the foot in a sense?
- 2:20 And it's just like I don't know.
- 2:22 And so I'd love to hear people's opinions on this.
- 2:24 Um whether this is right, whether this is something that should continue.
- 2:29 I mean, I think it's a pretty um self-explanatory answer.
- 2:33 But if someone does disagree with me on this topic, I'd love to see like kind of your thought process and where this idea is coming from that this is something that is okay and is just and um you know is is okay.
