  1. 0:00 With the large emergence of AI technology that has swept the world, you have to understand where where it's all coming from.
  2. 0:10 A small nation off the coast of China called Taiwan controls almost 90 to 95% of semiconductor chip manufacturing, which is what's in iPhones, TVs, and powers a lot of AI intelligence.
  3. 0:26 And you have to understand the threat that is posed to them by their very loud and rambunctious neighbor, China.
  4. 0:34 China sees Taiwan as an economic magnet.
  5. 0:38 They believe that if they were to infiltrate Taiwan and take control of Taiwan, then that would give them vast controls over t the tech space.
  6. 0:48 And the real reason why Taiwan has not fallen and has not been invaded by China yet is due to the American support.
  7. 0:57 America has maintained support for Taiwan for as long as we can remember.
  8. 1:02 And China, if they were to invade Taiwan, are encircled by Japan, a US ally, the Philippines, a US ally, and much of Indochina, which all which are also American allies.
  9. 1:17 Additionally, America has strongholds in the Marshall Islands, Samoa, and many other islands across the Pacific.
  10. 1:25 A large naval presence, a large na uh American naval presence is located in the Pacific as well.
  11. 1:32 So that is a major deterrent for China invading Taiwan.

  1. 0:00 This is a really interesting topic, James.
  2. 0:02 And I think it's really interesting because back in the day when I learned about history, you know, after World War II, America would defend a lot of countries to stop the spread of communism.
  3. 0:12 And it's cool to see how like it still is to stop communism, but at the same time now it's to stop China from getting these semiconductors.
  4. 0:21 Because now, you know, it's not the space race, it's not the war against communism.
  5. 0:25 It's who's gonna be the top, the AI giant.
  6. 0:29 So it makes it really interesting and also very complicated because you know, such a small island, you know, have so much control though, and now you know they're just being surrounded by all these big powers, you know, China's right next to them, and then you got US allies nearby, US as their ally.
  7. 0:47 And I'm just very interested to see if this big AI boom will cause this to become even more of an issue even now.
  8. 0:56 Because it AI has boomed, but like as AI gets even bigger, to see how this will affect the situation.
  9. 1:03 But yeah, it's a very interesting topic.

  1. 0:00 I completely agree with you, James.
  2. 0:02 I recently watched a video about this exact topic.
  3. 0:05 Something interesting I noticed in this video is that China is is preparing for war despite what the United States has to say about it.
  4. 0:14 China is actually building groundbreaking burgers that can land on the harsh Taiwan coast.
  5. 0:25 This has been China's difficulty for years as Taiwan's western coast is filled with rocky mountains and difficult beaches, which make it very difficult to complete a naval invasion.
  6. 0:37 However, with China's new huge barges, this could change the game.
  7. 0:43 In addition, China can crank out these barges at an extraordinary pace due to their nationalized shipyards that no other and huge population that no other country has available.
  8. 0:55 We should be scared for their future invasion.
